“When I entered Workforce Development seven years ago, I was struck by how little professional training and support was available in the field. Managed Work Services (MWS) was a start-up  - and we did a lot of our learning by trial and error. We built a strong team, but always had the feeling we were not in touch with what others were doing, how to measure success, and how to become aware of and implement the field’s  “best practices”. We worked hard, but not always smart. We then discovered the work that WPTI was doing, and been active with them ever since.  Job Developers learned placement and retention strategies, and the Senior Managers completed a series on Data/ Outcomes Management. We were particularly fortunate to have a 28 hour customized WPTI training that all MWS staff attended. We learned a good deal  -- capitalizing on our strengths, and devising a game plan and implementation timeline to address our challenges. We are a better team and stronger organization, and WPTI is a part of that success. “

Our customized programs improve institutional knowledge in core performance areas, mitigate staff attrition, and help you hone in on specific organizational challenges and opportunities. Much of our public calendar training is helpful to most organizations, providing networking opportunities and sharing best practices and models. However, in some instances, our training programs may not directly meet your organization’s specific needs. You may arrange a consultation to determine if a training program can be customized to meet your needs and can be held at WPTI or on-site at your organization. Rates for customized trainings depend on the scope of the services to be provided. Though most of our customized work is fee-for-service based, WPTI can work with your organization to subsidize training rates through foundation and corporate giving.
