WPTI, The Hub, and Coro New York Launch the Inaugural Workforce Systems Leadership Program

Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI) and the Workforce Field Building Hub (The Hub), in partnership with Coro New York, launched the first cohort of the Workforce Systems Leadership Program in June 2019. The nine-month program bolsters the leadership skills and sector knowledge of its 24 participants, and provides the competencies needed to build a stronger, more unified, and more effective workforce development system for New York City. Cohort members hold leadership positions across a rich array of organizations operating within New York City’s workforce landscape, including city government, CUNY, community-based organizations, employers, and more.

Program participants will engage in a series of Leadership and Strategy sessions, as well as work in teams to develop Systems Change Projects, focused on critical issues within the workforce system. At the conclusion of the program, cohort members will join the vast Coro New York alumni network, as well as form the inaugural cohort of an alumni network coordinated by The Hub.

Workforce Systems Leadership Program is generously supported by the Ira W. deCamp Foundation, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Mizuho USA Foundation, the NYC Department of Small Business Services, and the Solon E. Summerfield Foundation, Inc.
