Carrying the Torch and Inspiring Your People: Strategies for Effective Leadership and Management (for DYCD WIOA Program Directors)

WPTI is offering a series of leadership workshops titled “Making Way: An Onboarding Guide for Program Directors.” These three workshops are designed to be taken as a series although participants can also choose to take one, two, or all three sessions. One intention of the series is to help foster a leadership community among new and returning DYCD WIOA Program Directors. Therefore, full participation in the series is encouraged.

In this final workshop, participants will reflect on what they have learned about their programs, roles, staff and participants, and as a collective we will shift our focus towards their development as leaders and effective managers. Topics will include: Getting to Know Your Staff, Staff Culture, Professional Development, Getting the Most from Your Teams, Working with Different Levels, Staff Conflict,
Get to Know Your Budget, Get to Know your Boss, Get to Know Yourself.
